Why is gas refill or top-up important in an AC?
Lack of coolant (Freon) is a very common reason behind AC not cooling problem. The coolant circulates through the evaporator coils and cools the air flowing over it and eventually sends cool air into the room. So when the level of this coolant becomes insufficient, the AC fails to cool. In many cases the coolant leaks from the unit and AC stops cooling. An AC repair professional will be able to accurately determine if the refrigerant level is just right in the cooling coils.
What is included in AC gas refill service?
Our experts accurately determine the coolant level in the AC unit using a pressure gauge. If the level of gas, also called refrigerant is found below the normal we suggests a refill or top-up as per requirement.

Important guidelines for AC gas refill or top up
- Before the gas refill starts, it is always advised to check if the air filters are clean and evaporator/ condenser coils are dirt free. If any of the above are dirty, it can lead to AC not cooling problem even after coolant recharge.
- Check for any problematic situation inside the AC unit like obstructions inside AC unit (e.g. loose or broken parts).
- Make sure that evaporator fan and condenser fan work fine. If any of them fail to work properly, AC will not cool efficiently.
- Conduct a thorough inspection of the AC unit and check for any leakage in the coils. Leaks are typically found around joints and connections.
